My 5 Go-To Online Stores

We’re in a whole new world of lockdown which means staying home as much as possible.

It also means more online shopping with the bricks and mortar stores unable to open.

And while we might not be getting dressed up as much to work from home or catch up with friends via FaceTime, there’s no reason not to dress up for yourself for that trip to the supermarket or to fill up the car with petrol!

So, with the stores shut, here are my list of favourite online shopping spots, to get your style fix.

1. The Iconic

It has an incredible range of brands and labels including Atmos & Here, Levi’s, All About Eve and Staple the Label.

They stock for men, children and babies and also have a good range of maternity wear and breastfeeding friendly clothes.

What I especially love is how easy they make it to return something you might not like (and that can happen a lot - it’s an unfortunate hazard of online shopping).

Standard shipping is free when you spend over $50.

Returning something is free if you do it within 30 days. You reuse the bag your pieces were delivered in, then print off a return label made for you online and stick it on the package. If you choose a credit you get a bonus 10% added to the sale price. You can also get a refund.

2. Decjuba

I am a big fan of Decjuba for its street style and basics.

They have so many different styles of jeans and blazers as well as printed t-shirts, dresses and skirts. It’s a little bit on trend but you’ll also find wardrobe essentials to keep for years and wear on repeat.

They have a good size range and the price tags are pretty hip pocket friendly.

There’s free standard shipping and on the returns side, a 60 day exchange period and 12 months to spend your credit note. You download a return form online but have to pay the postage.

3. Petal & Pup

It’s very on trend but also has basics and your wardrobe staples or essentials.

There are bold colours and patterns as well as monochrome so really something for everyone plus you can also buy accessories.

Shipping is free for orders over $100.

You can return something within 30 days but have to pay $9.95. They make is easy supplying a return label and you’ll get a credit note valid for 3 years.

4. Out With Audrey

There’s a lot of street style clothing here which is what I love from leather pants to jeans, blazers, cardigans and graphic tees.

They also do a lot of fun sequins, bright colours and cool prints for tops and dresses. There’s new stuff weekly too.

You get free shipping on orders over $75 and will receive a credit valid for 6 months.

5. Peppermayo

This is such a fun online store filled with everything from party dresses to jackets, shirts, jeans, playsuits and accessories.

It’s full of bright colours and also monochrome and neutrals - so there’s something for everyone including men.

Shipping is free for orders over $60.

You can return something for free if you do it within 30 days of your purchase and a return label can be downloaded online.

Peach Bud Boutique

An honourable mention goes to this local Canberra store.

This has always been an online only store and has skirts, tops, pants and dresses in different styles, prints and colours.

There’s free express shipping for orders over $100. All shipping is free if you live in Canberra.

As for returns, you can do so within 30 days of purchase. Send an email to receive your returns form. You’ll get a 110% credit note to spend within 12 months. Return postage costs aren’t covered.
