My Top 10 Buys in 2024

Whenever I buy something, I overthink it. Does it fit in with my capsule wardrobe? How often will I wear it? Do I really love it and feel great in it? I don’t want to buy something I won’t get good use out of for years to come.

So, with all that in mind, here are my favourite pieces I bought in 2024.

10. Black and white maxi dress

It fits so nicely. It’s light and is the perfect length for me. It’s in my favourite shades of black and white and something I’ll grab on those hot Summer days.

9. Black mini dress

It’s the most flattering A-line style and one I’ll wear to work, casually on weekends and that I can dress up with some heels for a night out. Ticks all the boxes.

8. Sheer top

I stepped out of my comfort zone with this top and love how sexy it makes me feel. I can go with just a bra underneath, a singlet or bandeau depending how much skin I want to show.

7. Flared leggings

These were my most worn pants on weekends in Winter. I actually bought a second pair. Super cool and comfy and I paired it with a jumper but also a tank and blazer, cropped jacket and t-shirt.

6. White shorts

Another classic addition to my wardrobe and they fit so well. I will get good use out of them for years.

5. Cropped jacket

While I’m not usually one to jump on a trend, I loved the cropped jacket (I bought two) and will wear them whether they’re in fashion or not. I dressed them up over dresses, down with jeans and flared leggings as I mentioned and love the relaxed look that also gives a bit of shape because it stops at the hips.

4. Black and pearl dress

I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding and it was love at first sight. I feel so classy and chic in this, love the cap sleeve and how it cinches in at the waist. It was an easy decision to buy it and I will definitely wear it again and again.

3. Little black dress

So my mum surprised us when I went to Perth for her birthday and told us she was getting married. I needed a better dress becauise I had maid of honour duties. I was in a rush, under the pump and about to give up when I walked past this beauty. It’s just my style - black, classic and a little edgy with the tulle at the bottom.

2. Dark denim wide leg jeans

These could be the best jeans I have ever bought. They give me legs for days, are a great design with the front pockets and I love the dark denim colour. This is by far the piece I receive the most compliments on.

1. 3D floral dress

My husband bought me this dress. I tried it on when I was looking for a dress for a wedding (I ended up buying the black and pearl one) but I took a photo of it because I felt amazing. I didn’t buy it because it’s colourful, bold and bright which is not my style. I showed my hubby and a week later he surprised me. A good man!

So that’s the list.
